Family love is often made of ordinary things: a packed lunch, a phone call, a seat saved at the table. We tend to notice it most when we are apart.
1 · Say it while you can
Many parents and grandparents show love through action rather than words. Telling them what their care meant to you can be a precious gift.
2 · Honour boundaries too
Family bonds can be complicated. Loving someone does not require accepting harm. Healthy love leaves room for respect, space and honesty.
3 · Create new traditions
A weekly call, a shared recipe or a yearly trip can carry love forward and give the next generation something to remember.
Reflect: Who in your family would love to hear from you today?
