Over time we get used to the people who love us. Gratitude is the habit of noticing them again.
1 · Be specific
"Thanks for making tea when I was stressed" lands deeper than a general thank you. Specific words show you were paying attention.
2 · Write it down
A shared note, a card or a message at an unexpected moment can brighten a whole week and is easy to revisit later.
3 · Appreciate the ordinary
The dishes done, the lift home, the patient listening. Naming everyday care keeps resentment from quietly growing.
Reflect: Who could you thank today, and for what exactly?
Educational reading, not therapy or professional advice. If you are struggling, please talk to someone you trust or a qualified professional.
